     "I am writing this letter to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outstanding job that Al and Mary Cardany did as our real estate agents in the recent sale of our home.  I�m not usually one to write this type of letter, but my wife and I were so impressed with not only the amount but also the quality of Al and Mary�s work in helping us to sell our house that I knew that I had to do something to acknowledge their extraordinary efforts.  Even so, try as I might otherwise, this letter doesn�t come close to conveying just how thankful we are for everything that Al and Mary did for us in the process of selling our house.     

      Before we were fortunate enough to meet Al and Mary, our house had been on the market for more than eight months with a very high profile real estate group.  Despite lowering the price on the house five times, resulting in a net drop of over $140,000, we did not receive a single offer on the house.  After twice delaying our relocation to another state, we finally had no choice but to buy a second house and move out of the area before our original home sold.  We signed on with Al and Mary the day before we moved, which left them with only one day to take any pictures before the house was empty.  Even with that disadvantage, both the printed materials and the web presentation were absolutely stunning.  Our former house is a contemporary with an open floor plan and some very unique features that would likely appeal to a specific type of buyer.  Al�s pictures and the �Shangri-la� theme used to market the house captured perfectly the essence of the house, and after months of �the house was not what we expected� comments from showings with the previous realtor, we received an offer in less than 30 days from a buyer who saw the house on the internet and specifically asked their realtor to show them the house.  With Al�s guidance and negotiating acumen, this first offer was turned into a sale, and we closed on the house less than two months after listing it with the Cardanys.

      As impressive as the end result was with Al and Mary, the process itself was equally as impressive and probably what we are most grateful for in having them as our real estate agents.  Despite being almost 400 miles away, I knew that our house was in excellent hands with the Cardanys.  In addition to updates on showings and the status of the listing every couple days, Al also made a point to check in on the then-vacant house at least once a week to make sure that everything was in order.  Also, after the house was under contract, Al went to the house on multiple occasions to meet inspectors and/or contractors for us, and even went so far as to fill and drain the hot tub at the house twice so that it could be inspected.  Still, despite going way above and beyond the call of duty as our agents, not once did Al or Mary ever make us feel like we were imposing on them or their time.  Working with the two of them was truly a pleasure � they are not only outstanding real estate agents, they are also quite simply great people.  And as happy as my wife and I are that we sold our house, we are just as happy that we sold our house with Al and Mary Cardany as our agents."
